Zenith, founded in 1865 by Georges Favre -Jacot in Le Locle, Switzerland, has left an indelible mark on the history of horology. During the 1940s, Zenith continued to produce high-quality mechanical watches despite the challenges of World War II, maintaining its reputation for precision and reliability. In the post-war era, Zenith experienced a period of innovation, introducing advancements such as the legendary Zenith Caliber 135 movement in 1948, renowned for its accuracy and durability. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, Zenith expanded its offerings with iconic timepieces like the Zenith El Primero, the world's first automatic chronograph movement introduced in 1969.
