Gold hour markers and gilt Arabic numerals give the black dial of this Poljot Chronograph watch from 1983 a strong contrast. The men's model uses hand-wound caliber 3133 inside a 38 mm gold-plated case, with a 45 mm lug-to-lug span. The black dial is arranged around three registers at 3, 6 and 9, with a tachymeter scale around its perimeter. Golden hour markers and gilt Arabic numerals stand out against the dark surface, and the framed date window sits at 6. Dial patina remains part of its vintage appearance.

Gold hour and minute hands provide the main time indications. The chronograph hands are thin and white, separating the timing display from the gold furniture. The central chronograph seconds hand sweeps across the dial when the chronograph is engaged.

The stainless steel case has a gold-plated finish and a polished bezel. Its 38 mm diameter and 45 mm overall lug span describe the head's width and length, with the lugs leading naturally into the strap.

An unsigned gold crown is flanked by two chronograph pushers. The pusher at 2 starts and stops timing, while the one at 4 resets it. Their actuation is tactile and responsive.

The brown leather strap is a replacement in a period-appropriate style. Its beige stitching adds a lighter border to the leather, complementing the gold-plated head. The strap's replacement status is distinct from the original watch components.

Caliber 3133 and Soviet chronograph context

The manual-wind watch uses Poljot caliber 3133, which derives from the Valjoux 7734 architecture. Its nominal specifications are 21,600 vibrations per hour and a 42-hour power reserve.

The 3133 was used in Soviet civilian and military chronographs. Poljot chronograph watches of the early 1980s combined that mechanical lineage with the period's practical timing displays. This example presents it through a contrasting black-and-gold dial and gold-plated case.
